Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts evaluations and provides treatment for speech therapy patients as per physician directives in various settings including acute care, outpatient services, home health, or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Formulates individualized treatment plans for all patients on the caseload.
  • Ensures accurate documentation is maintained in the patient's medical records.
  • Commits to initiatives aimed at cost reduction and productivity enhancement within the speech therapy department.
  • Fosters positive relationships with the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
  • Communicates effectively, both in writing and verbally, with all relevant members of the patient's healthcare team.
Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Certified Clinical Competency Certification or in the process of completing Clinical Fellowship year.

Licensure: Valid Speech Pathology licensure in Iowa or eligibility for licensure in Iowa, along with a valid Iowa driver’s license.

Experience: Open to entry-level candidates or new graduates.

Certification: Must maintain Basic Life Support certification.
