About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Pathologist for Children, you will play a vital role in providing in-patient and/or out-patient services on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation, treatment, and home programming for children with feeding and swallowing disorders, articulation, voice, resonance, and fluency, and receptive/expressive language disorders.
  • Offer aural rehabilitation/auditory verbal therapy for hearing loss or cochlear implant, and evaluation for augmentative communication devices.
  • Collaborate with patients and caregivers to provide education and consultation to other professionals, clinics, and agencies within Cook Children's Health Care System and the community.
  • Document and correspond with services following department and system policies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Speech-language pathologist (SLP) license in Texas (or license eligible).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) in Speech/Language Pathology, or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year.
