Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tire Technician to join our team at Best-One Tire & Service. As a Tire Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing damaged or worn tires, replacing or repairing damaged tires, and balancing or rotating tires.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assess tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall health of the tire.
  • Mount/dismount, install new or used tires.
  • Check air pressure, repair punctures, and replace faulty valves.
  • Operate balancer and complete wheel alignments.
  • Complete tire rotations; reset TPMS when needed.
  • Complete brake inspections.
  • Complete work orders and related paperwork.
  • Load/unload and store equipment as needed.
  • Maintain, set up tire racks, organize, and clean shop and equipment.
  • Assist customers and other co-workers as needed.
Requirements
  • Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Ability to consistently follow store policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read and complete instructions.
  • Must have general mechanical skills.
  • Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
  • Team-Player: Works well as a member of a group.
  • Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high. Occasional squatting, bending, and twisting. Standing for extended periods of time. Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season. Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception). Sense of sound (Ringing telephones, alarms, horns, and motorized equipment). PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, footwear).
