Job Summary:The Lead Industrial Health Specialist will lead the development, review, and implementation of industrial safety and health programs across nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. This includes ensuring compliance with DOE regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices for industrial hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development, review, and implementation of industrial safety and health programs.
- Ensure compliance with DOE regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices for industrial hygiene and safety.
- Analyze safety programs, identify risks, and recommend improvements to enhance facility safety.
- Collaborate with DOE contractor representatives and key stakeholders to develop and evaluate safety programs, technical safety requirements, and risk assessment models.
- Perform site evaluations and audits to assess compliance with industrial health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical leadership and support in the development of health and safety documentation, reports, and technical reviews.
- Oversee and mentor a team of industrial health specialists to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Associate's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, or a related technical field.
- 20 years of experience in the field of industrial safety and health, including 10 years at Oak Ridge sites.
- Expertise in industry standards and DOE standards for Industrial Hygiene and Safety.
- Demonstrated experience in leading safety programs and teams in a DOE or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety-based documentation, hazard categorization, and industrial hygiene programs.
