Job Summary

Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team for a travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin.

Job Description
  • Conducts multi-specialty diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures.
  • Works under the direction of experienced staff sonographers within the regional ultrasound program.
  • Requires national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or equivalent.
  • Advance certification by accrediting body in specialty, RVT/RCS/RDCS or equivalent for Cardiac/Vascular, required within 18 months of hire.
  • BLS certification required.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety, as well as excellent communication and human relations skills.

Requirements
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiologic/Ultrasound Technology program.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an active treatment unit in a psychiatric or mental health hospital or outpatient clinic.
  • Proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
