This key leadership position is responsible for overseeing the strategic vision and administration of the Early Childhood and Community Services Division.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and direction to the Early Childhood and Community Services Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to early childhood, families, and community entities.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, collaborating with other administrators and community agencies to provide leadership and support.
- Develop and maintain a collaborative network with state, county, and local agencies and organizations to enhance community programs and services.
- Develop, facilitate, and nurture internal collaboration among programs within the Early Childhood and Community Services Division and external programs to enhance opportunities for sharing resources and expertise.
- Stay abreast of state and federal regulations, policies, and legislation affecting early childhood and community services to assist program directors with decision-making.
- Responsible for the hiring, leading, coaching, and mentoring of administrative, teaching, and support positions within the Early Childhood and Community Services Division.
- Oversee the coordination of division operations with fiscal, human resources, and technology operations to provide necessary support for efficient and effective program functioning.
- Plan and provide strategic visioning and leadership to evaluate existing programs, processes, and procedures, and implement new solutions and programs to enhance services.
- Communicate emerging best practices and innovative trends in educational reform to the Executive Director, Executive Leadership Team, and internal and external groups.
- Assist in negotiations of collective bargaining agreements and support implementation to ensure compliance and a positive working environment.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience demonstrating increased responsibility, with experience in social service, community impact, and nonprofit organizations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in program development and fiscal management.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated record of successful leadership in execution of programs, strategies, and initiatives.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build credible relationships with internal programs and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of principles of administration, personnel selection, supervision, training, and evaluation.
- Ability to develop, nurture, promote, and sustain a trusting and positive organizational culture and work environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google tools, Zoom, and other productivity/analysis/presentation software.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws, regulations, and policies affecting educational practices for early childhood and general education.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues while remaining logical and interpersonal.
- Current Act 114, Act 34, and Act 151 required prior to an offer.
- School Personnel Health Record (Form H) must be completed and received by Human Resources prior to hire date.
