Purpose of the Position

This role involves fulfilling designated construction supervisory responsibilities as a contractor representative at the worksite. The position oversees construction initiatives, ensuring that architectural, mechanical, and electrical designs and schematics for new builds and renovations comply with professional and regulatory standards.

Facilitates collaboration between engineers and developers during construction to guarantee adherence to contract specifications and timelines.

Principal Responsibilities of the Position

Conducts reviews of construction-related documentation based on site inspections. Prepares project updates for relevant stakeholders.

Monitors budget variances and assists in the development, revision, and tracking of planning and scheduling flowcharts.

Evaluates equipment options and selects additional machinery based on design criteria, availability, and cost considerations.

Acts as a liaison among engineering, fabrication, and testing phases of construction.

Supervises the layout, design, and installation processes of facility architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems to ensure compliance with client requirements and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

Reviews initial designs and cost assessments to ensure alignment with the overall budget.

Provides management with project updates regarding job costing, operations, financials, key projects, and other necessary reports.

Education and Experience Requirements

Preferred experience in mechanical supervision, particularly with air handlers, demolition, and installation.

Skills in the design or inspection of construction projects for buildings and utilities are preferred.

High School Diploma required.

B.S. degree in Construction Management is preferred.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain necessary credentials.

Must be able to present a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents upon hiring.

Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, is essential.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Will ensure quality and thoroughness of work in a safe and timely manner, ensuring work areas are organized and ready for client needs upon completion.

Special Knowledge and Skills Required

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with technicians, engineers, public officials, and other stakeholders.

Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to apply Federal Acquisition Regulations related to the selection of architectural and engineering services.

Physical Requirements

Dexterity to operate office and field equipment as required by the position.

Preferences

Prior knowledge of government installations and experience working in similar environments is preferred.
