Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation Consultant to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with our business objectives and support our ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure our compensation practices are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation-related initiatives.
  • Compensation Analysis and Evaluation:
    • Analyze and evaluate existing compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, equity awards, and other incentives.
    • Provide recommendations for adjustments based on market data, internal equity, and organizational goals.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  • Job Analysis and Market Pricing:
    • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing for various roles within the organization.
    • Develop and maintain job descriptions and job families, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards.
  • Equity and Bonus Program Management:
    • Manage the administration of equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other long-term incentives.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of annual bonus programs and other performance-based incentives.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HR systems.
    • Prepare and present compensation-related reports and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
    • Monitor and analyze trends in compensation and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Employee Communication and Support:
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions on compensation programs and policies.
  • Stay current on compensation trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of compensation programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compensation management, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with equity compensation programs and long-term incentives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
