Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compensation Consultant to join our Human Resources team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of compensation principles, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies that align with our business objectives and support our ability to attract, retain, and motivate top talent in the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure our compensation practices are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation-related initiatives.
- Compensation Analysis and Evaluation:
- Analyze and evaluate existing compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, equity awards, and other incentives.
- Provide recommendations for adjustments based on market data, internal equity, and organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Job Analysis and Market Pricing:
- Conduct job evaluations and market pricing for various roles within the organization.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and job families, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry standards.
- Equity and Bonus Program Management:
- Manage the administration of equity compensation programs, including stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and other long-term incentives.
- Oversee the design and implementation of annual bonus programs and other performance-based incentives.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HR systems.
- Prepare and present compensation-related reports and dashboards for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Monitor and analyze trends in compensation and provide insights for decision-making.
- Employee Communication and Support:
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on compensation programs and policies.
- Stay current on compensation trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of compensation programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in compensation management, preferably within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
- In-depth knowledge of compensation principles, market analysis, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with equity compensation programs and long-term incentives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
