About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Civil and Environmental Consultants. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for a wide range of projects, including industrial, manufacturing, and infrastructure initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical equipment layouts, single-line diagrams, and interconnecting wiring drawings
  • Generate electrical equipment and construction specifications
  • Conduct power studies, including short-circuit analysis and incident energy calculations using ETAP or SKM software
  • Provide quality oversight for electrical designs performed by others
  • Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, and customers to ensure electrical designs meet project requirements
  • Train and mentor less experienced engineers and designers
  • Coordinate electrical design criteria with other disciplines
  • Generate electrical engineering hour estimates for ongoing work and new proposals
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with relevant experience on industrial or manufacturing projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA/NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, API, and ASI)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, including MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform field/site visits and travel (estimated 10% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
  • P.E. Registration or E.I.T. preferred
  • Leadership experience in managing teams of engineers and designers
