Weaving Beam Technician

The Weaving Beam Technician plays a crucial role in the preparation of warp, stuffer, and binder beams for the weaving sector during the Second Shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM).

• Safely lift yarn packages weighing up to 35 pounds from ground level to heights of 10 feet using appropriate equipment.
• Thread yarn through various components, including stop motions and back reeds, ensuring proper separation and tension.
• Manage the loading of empty beams into the beamer, which can weigh between 275 to 300 pounds, and handle full beams weighing up to 1500 pounds.
• Adjust yarn spacing on the expansion reed, set traverse distances, and regulate machine speed for optimal beam production.
• Utilize a tension meter to monitor and adjust creel and yarn tension as needed.
• Possess a solid understanding of yarn types and denier, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Capability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for prolonged periods.
• Regularly lift packages weighing 35 pounds to a height of 72 inches.
• Ability to perform basic calculations.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and neatly.
• Exhibit dependability, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, consistent attendance, effective communication skills, and good comprehension abilities.
