Key Responsibilities

The Equipment Service Technician plays a vital role in our Equipment Service Team, focusing on the maintenance, repair, delivery, setup, relocation, and exchange of all company beverage equipment to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and sales performance. Equipment responsibilities include, but are not limited to, vending machines, coolers, restaurant fountain systems, and coffee dispensers.

  • Deliver, remove, exchange, and relocate beverage equipment as needed.
  • Load and unload equipment for delivery or return.
  • Maintain communication with customers and supervisors regarding delivery and pickup status.
  • Ensure proper cooler placement by checking temperature and refrigeration settings.
  • Educate customers on the operation of equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, removal, and relocation of fountain and coffee dispensing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Maintain an inventory of parts on the vehicle.
  • Generate parts requests to ensure sufficient inventory levels.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including work tickets and vehicle inspections.
  • Rebuild and repair equipment as needed.
  • Utilize electronic devices for data entry and retrieval.
  • Provide excellent customer service by visiting customer locations for delivery and repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required.
  • Adhere to all regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 years of general work experience is necessary.
  • Refrigeration/HVAC certification is preferred.
  • General plumbing and technical experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical skills are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency is required.
  • Prior experience with moving equipment is a plus.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a high-speed industrial environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to provide personal hand tools may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift heavy items regularly, with a lifting capacity of up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Vision capabilities include close vision and the ability to focus on small components.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Company provides necessary PPE including hearing protection, hard hats, and safety glasses.

Work Environment

  • The work environment may be moderately noisy due to operational equipment.
