Staff Nurse

University of Miami is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiology team in Miami, Florida.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients, documenting care and reporting changes in condition and vital signs.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, conditions, and physician orders.
- Review and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient condition.
- Consult with physicians and healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Consider patient age and culture during treatments and provide necessary information regarding treatment plans.
- Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support.
- Perform patient tests and administer medications within scope of practice.
- Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments.
- Communicate plan of care to patients, families, and team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Use available resources to assist in discharge planning.
- Prioritize and adjust assignments to accomplish goals and render superior patient care.
- Safely operate medical equipment.
- Assist new staff in provision of care and serve as a preceptor.
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Florida Registered Nurse License.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS).
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care methods, and health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
