Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at Children's Therapy Place, Inc. Our clinic provides innovative therapy, educational programs, and collaborative multidisciplinary services to empower and support children and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide Occupational Therapy services to clients in accordance with Idaho Infant and Toddler Program procedures. This includes screening and evaluating clients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and communicating with family and other professionals. The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy, National Credentialing Board certification, and licensure in the state of Idaho. Pediatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide Occupational Therapy services to clients in accordance with Idaho Infant and Toddler Program procedures.
  • Screen and evaluate clients to plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans by identifying problem lists, including short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
  • Coordinate treatment plans for clients and provide copies for family and other professionals.
  • Implement and conduct treatment as outlined in the Infant and Toddler IFSP treatment plan.
  • Maintain documentation of clients' assessments, treatment, follow-up, results, and discharge planning or termination of services.
  • Instruct clients and family in appropriate occupational therapy procedures or home program to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities.
  • Provide in-service education to the members of the client's care team and education to the community.
  • Record billable treatment times according to Children's Therapy Place procedures and submits biweekly time sheets.
  • Maintain knowledge of and complying with all Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
  • Maintain positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, residents, family members, and facility personnel.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Participate in client, family, and staff education.
  • Attend in-service meetings and facility meetings as required.
  • Adhere to company established confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Project a positive and professional image at all times.
Requirements:
  • A Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • National Credentialing Board certification.
  • Licensure in the state of Idaho.
  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Maintain positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, clients, family members, and other facility personnel.
  • Report to work on time and coordinate schedule to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency during assigned work hours.
  • Project a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Must pass a criminal background check prior to employment.
