Nurse Specialist

As a Plasma Center Nurse at BioLife, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our donors. Your primary responsibility will be to screen and advise donors on their eligibility to donate plasma, while also managing donor adverse events and reviewing laboratory test results.
You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional customer service and quality care to our donors. Your commitment to safety and quality will be essential in maintaining a clean and efficient plasma collection environment.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
- Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when in need of guidance concerning medical or technical issues.
- Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
- High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

For this role, the estimated hourly wage range is $36.54 - $50.24. U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives, medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
