Are you passionate about pioneering technologies that drive innovative products? Do you possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence? We are seeking a dedicated RF Integrity Engineer to join Apple's IC Packaging team.
The RFI (RF Integrity) team is focused on developing cutting-edge methodologies to address coupling, spur, and coexistence challenges in highly integrated RF systems through advanced simulation and laboratory debugging.
Responsibilities:
- Perform 2D/3D electromagnetic simulations for design optimization and coupling reduction for integrated circuits, packages, and circuit boards.
- Refine electromagnetic modeling and analytical techniques to ensure precise correlation between simulation results and physical measurements across different levels.
- Design high-performance RF components, including transmission lines, filters, and matching networks across diverse technologies.
- Collaborate with integrated circuit, packaging, and product teams to resolve spur and desensitization issues in both simulation and laboratory settings.
- Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities in dynamic and complex environments where boundaries are not clearly defined.
- Strong foundation in microwave engineering and proficiency with 2D/3D electromagnetic simulation tools.
- In-depth understanding of the interactions between electromagnetic models and other circuit components.
- Familiarity with RF impairments at both block and transceiver levels, including amplifiers, filters, and phase-locked loops (PLLs).
- Experience with RF laboratory equipment such as vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, real-time oscilloscopes, and probe stations.
- A strong desire to learn new technologies and a willingness to take calculated risks to solve complex problems.
- Solid academic background and knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity issues is advantageous.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with RFIC design and simulation processes, experience in advanced transceiver design and integration, and expertise in RF system modeling and link budgeting for transceiver chains.
Compensation & Benefits:At Apple, base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and development within your role.
The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
