Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or similar role, with a minimum of five years in IT infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of system architecture principles, including distributed computing, virtualization, and cloud computing. Proficiency in system administration, including Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Experience with configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, for automating system deployment and management tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewalls. Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing systems and data.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
