Job Summary

Hunter Douglas, Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling plastic and metal parts into sub-assemblies for window coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble plastic and metal parts into sub-assemblies for window coverings
  • Follow step-by-step instructions as part of a one-piece flow
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with long periods of sitting and/or standing
  • Use various hand tools, including hammers, pliers, hole punchers, scissors, measuring tape, and drills
  • Meet quality and production metric standards on an hourly basis
  • Rotate between three different assembly stations as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Basic mathematics skills to read measuring devices and perform basic addition and subtraction
  • Sufficient hand/finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination for manual and semi-automated assembly
  • Attention to detail and ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written operational procedures
  • Ability to produce a quality product and identify any defect issues
  • Good communication skills and ability to use RF scanners and other computer systems
