About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Wellpath. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in providing high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to patients by gathering information, verifying medications, and making referrals as needed.
  • Assist healthcare practitioners in responding to patient crises and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Adhere to infection control principles and maintain working areas, supplies, and equipment in good working order.
  • Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions to ensure continuity of patient care and maintain the staffing matrix for the client.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited CMA course.
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant in the State (if required by the State or the facility).
  • Obtain and maintain CPR certification (if required).
