As a key player in our dedicated clinical care team, you will have the chance to provide direct care to a variety of patients in a fast-paced, outpatient primary care setting.
Main Functions of a Medical Assistant:
- Assist with medical procedures and management of patient care: Perform basic lab tests, blood draws, EKGs, administer medications as directed by clinicians.
- Prepare patients for examination, taking medical histories and recording vital records.
- Maintain and order medical supplies and equipment, ensuring all are properly stocked and in working order.
- Follow infection control protocols, ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding their health and treatments, and coordinate with other clinical team members.
Requirements:
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program (Certified Medical Assistants preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a learning and or healthcare environment

The rate of compensation for this position is $18.00 per hour. After the successful completion of your 90 day probationary period and clinical competencies, you will become eligible for a $1 increase to $19.00/hour. Medical Assistants also receive an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for working during weekends and holidays, as part of the rotation schedule.
