About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Environmental Scientist to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our Earth & Environment Team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on environmental projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level technical assistance and guidance on environmental projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize environmental risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement environmental projects, including project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest environmental science and technology trends and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in environmental science, including experience with environmental impact assessments, permitting, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, including NEPA, CEQA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
