Maintenance Specialist III

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced maintenance professional to join our team. As a Maintenance Specialist III, you will perform complex work in one or more building maintenance and construction trades, conducting inspections, adjustments, installations, maintenance, and repairs of buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment. You will also operate motorized equipment, requisition materials and supplies, and maintain records. Additionally, you may be required to perform other tasks, including operation of a motor vehicle, making deliveries, picking up supplies, and providing training and guidance to others.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections, adjustments, maintenance, and repairs of buildings, utility systems, and stationary equipment
• Operate motorized equipment, requisition materials and supplies, and maintain records
• Perform other tasks, including operation of a motor vehicle, making deliveries, picking up supplies, and providing training and guidance to others
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of experience in building maintenance and construction trades
• Knowledge of building mechanical systems, electrical distribution systems, electronics, boilers, painting, and carpentry
• Knowledge of building materials, plumbing, and electrical fixtures
• Knowledge of welding procedures, HVAC, sanitation, and refrigeration
• Knowledge of industrial safety, fire, and safety regulations
• Skills in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
• Ability to perform maintenance, follow instructions, and estimate materials
• Ability to apply proper methods, techniques, and procedures in the maintenance and repair of buildings, building, and utility systems
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, or sketches
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and use good judgment
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Working Conditions:
This position may be eligible to earn additional pay for work performed on evenings, nights, and/or weekends. The selected candidate will be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift, and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy. The position may also require the candidate to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to heavy physical demands.
