About the Role

This PRN position offers two 10-hour shifts per week, with flexibility for later start times as needed. No weekends, holidays, or call required.

We're looking for an experienced nurse with expertise in Ophthalmic or Orthopaedic procedures to lead effectively in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, provide, supervise, and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
  • Assist other nursing personnel in the delivery of nursing care and act as team leader or charge nurse for a group of patients or an entire unit as assigned.
  • Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical nursing practice.
  • AHA BLS certification is required.
  • Must have current or compact RN license in the State of North Carolina.
What We Offer

Duke Health offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience.

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plans, and paid time off.
