Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position ranges from $34.65 to $35.69 per hour. The Emergency Department at Albany Medical Center is a Level I Trauma Center and serves as a regional referral center for a wide variety of patients requiring acute care.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse I to join our team in the Adult Emergency Department. As a member of our nursing staff, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our department.
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to create a Plan of Care for all patients, collaborate with ancillary personnel, and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this position, you must possess:
- A graduate degree from a professional academic nursing program, such as a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- A current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Certification in BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably in a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
