Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative I to join our team at Mercury General. As a key member of our call center team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients through inbound and outbound calls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking first report claims calls, which involve all lines of company business (90% of time)
  • Working and completing all applications and processes necessary to tend to customer issues (5% of time)
  • Utilizing basic understanding of products and systems to complete tasks independently (5% of time)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 1 year of call center and/or customer service experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with internal and external customers in a professional manner
  • Efficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software and applications
