Oncology IV Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Loyola University Health System. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in the preparation and delivery of medications to our patients.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and compound sterile medications in accordance with USP 797 guidelines
- Handle hazardous drugs in accordance with USP 800 and NIOSH recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to regulatory and institutional guidelines
- Perform quality assurance monitoring and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred: Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- 1-2 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Current IL licensure as a Pharmacy Tech required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification validated by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or ExCPT validated by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) required for all technicians licensed after December 31st, 2007
