Job Title: Call Counselor II

At Patient Advocate Foundation, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Call Counselor II to join our team. As a Call Counselor II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to patients and providers, ensuring that they receive the support and assistance they need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming phone calls to the program and assist callers with all questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Respond to and process patients' requests for co-pay assistance through the program.
  • Thoroughly explain the intent of the program to patients in a positive manner.
  • Conduct initial application intake to determine eligibility based on program standards.
  • Prepare applications to be mailed to eligible patients for completion and fax physician forms to treating physicians.
  • Input all patient information into the NPPA Co-Pay Assistance database with extreme accuracy.
  • Create and maintain patient files, ensuring that case files are always reflective of the most current information.
  • Follow up in a timely manner with patients and providers.
  • Meet established quality, data collection, and production performance benchmarks with a score of 90% or higher.
  • Communicate with Floor Supervisors when encountering situations that require additional guidance or supervisory assistance.
  • Mentor new team members during their introductory period, responding to questions and reporting constructive feedback on the team member's progress to the NPPA Director.
Requirements:
  • Healthcare-related certification(s) preferred, but not required.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in one of the following areas: healthcare environment, social work, or health insurance preferred.
  • Medical terminology and knowledge preferred.
