Job Overview

Critz Buick GMC is seeking a skilled GMC Technician Apprentice to join our team. As a Technician Apprentice, you will work alongside an experienced technician to develop your skills in vehicle maintenance and repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced technicians in performing quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs
  • Learn from and assist assigned mentor technician to expand vehicle repair knowledge and ability
  • Deliver customer cars to service stalls as requested by technicians
  • Pick up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians
  • Perform safety inspections, oil changes, lube work, basic maintenance, and minor repairs as directed
  • Replenish supplies as requested by technicians or service manager
  • Attend training classes and complete online courses as required by the manufacturer and dealership
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service and communications skills are necessary
  • GED or high school diploma is mandatory
  • Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
  • National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, or ASE certification is strongly desired
