Job Title: Cook/Shift Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook/Shift Leader to join our team at Thousand Pines Christian Camp and Conference Center. As a key member of our Food Service team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and service of meals to our guests, ensuring high-quality food and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Food Service team in meal preparation and service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of meals to our guests.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our guests, while maintaining high-quality food standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events and activities.
  • Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and labor to ensure efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and other departments.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
