Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at UTMB Health. As a Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in a correctional setting, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, including administering medications and treatments, and performing procedures as needed.
- Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care in a thorough and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices, applying evidence-based care to patient care decisions.
- Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and current licensure as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas.
- Current BLS-HP certification.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care needs and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
