Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct store walkthroughs before each shift to stay informed about promotional items and sales.
  • Accurately calculate bills and provide itemized receipts to customers.
  • Process payments through various methods including cash, credit cards, and gift cards.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits as necessary.
  • Utilize the cash register effectively, scanning items and ensuring correct pricing.
  • Welcome customers and address their inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, free from personal items.
  • Distribute coupons and manage rain checks.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in grocery retail or a similar environment is advantageous.
  • Experience in the natural foods sector is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability to various situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Physical Requirements
