Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Street Supervisor, the Traffic Control Sign Technician will be responsible for providing complex services involved in producing, installing, and maintaining traffic control signs and devices. The incumbent must ensure safe and non-obstructive viewing of such devices, adhering to City and department policy, codes, and standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a full range of complex tasks within established procedures, with occasional instruction and assistance.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to City and department policy, codes, and standards of quality.
  • Report to the Street Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED supplemented by vocational training in electrical or mechanical repair work.
  • Up to one year of previous experience in traffic control device operation and maintenance and/or electrical repair work.
  • Possess a valid Class B CDL driver's license.
