We are seeking a Waste Management Coordinator to join our team at Veolia North America. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, where you will be responsible for managing the transportation and disposal of hazardous materials.

About the Role

The Waste Management Coordinator will provide critical support to our operations team, ensuring that all aspects of waste management are carried out efficiently and effectively. This includes sampling, manifesting, packaging, spill response, labeling, loading/unloading, and coordinating transportation, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sampling and testing: You will collect and analyze samples of various waste materials to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manifesting and documentation: You will accurately record and document the movement of hazardous materials, ensuring timely and safe delivery to designated facilities.
  • Spill response and mitigation: In the event of a spill or leak, you will respond promptly and take corrective action to minimize the impact on the environment and public health.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science discipline preferred. Additionally, you must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a commitment to environmental stewardship. A 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification is required, and a valid Driver's License is also necessary.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including paid time off policies, health, dental, and vision insurance, and an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan.
