Server Administrator

Job Summary:

Bahwan CyberTek Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Server Administrator to join our team. As a Server Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our computer networks by maintaining software updates, designing and implementing new system structures, monitoring server activity, and auditing server security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and administer Windows-based server environments to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and update server operating systems and software applications.
  • Design and implement new system structures to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Monitor server activity, performance, and resource utilization to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Perform routine audits of server security measures and implement necessary controls to safeguard against unauthorized access and data breaches.
  • Collaborate with other IT professionals to troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to server configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to server administration and security.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in server administration, preferably in a Windows environment.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows server services.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
