Piedmont Healthcare LPN Nursing Role

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. This role functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization, demonstrating professional growth and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments as designated by Registered Nurse or provider, collecting data regarding the patient's physical, psychosocial, and health history.
  • Collaborate with Registered Nurse or provider to organize patient data into the formulation of a plan of care, identifying additional information needed and making care decisions based on identified needs.
  • Provide patient care that is specific to the setting, identified needs, and plan, ensuring that the care provided is appropriate to the severity of the disease, condition, impairment, or disability.
  • Document patient care and concerns in the patient record.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an LPN program.
  • New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible.
  • Nursing experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • If working in the Emergency Department, ALS/ACLS and PALS certification is required.
