Altec Industries is seeking a dedicated individual for a versatile engineering position at our facility. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is part of a dynamic team where engineering functions are not strictly divided.

Role Overview
As a Manufacturing and Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our manufacturing and quality processes. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manufacturing Engineering (40%)
  • Quality Engineering (40%)
  • Product Design/New Product Development (20%)

This position emphasizes traditional engineering tasks while also requiring some product design capabilities.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience, with two years preferred in an engineering capacity.

Preferred Skills
Experience in Altec Manufacturing and/or Quality is advantageous. Candidates should have:
  • Completed all necessary Production and Quality training through Altec University.
  • Altec Production System Level 1 certification; Level 2 is preferred.
  • The ability to work independently with suppliers to enhance Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety.

Technical Proficiencies
Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential, including:
  • Creation of parts, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Configurations and sheet metal modeling.

Additionally, a foundational understanding of pneumatic systems and a willingness to learn about psychrometrics is preferred.
