Highly Skilled Azure Integration Architect Wanted for Defense Enterprise Office Solution

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Azure Integration Architect to provide expert support on our Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract. This role combines remote and onsite responsibilities, with 20% remote work and 80% onsite at either Ft Meade, MD or our GDIT secure facility in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Azure software development best practices to facilitate collaboration, feature enhancement, issue tracking, testing, development, and production deployment.
  • Implement automation using Power Platform, Azure App Services, PowerShell, APIs, etc., to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Craft parameter-driven, declarative syntax models to offer flexibility and simplicity to subscribing organizations.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline design and implementation to support release validation efforts.
  • Maintain expertise in .NET Core and contribute to cloud-native application development, including front and back-end services.
  • Develop and implement high-available, secure, and scalable integration solutions utilizing Azure Integration Services, such as Logic Apps and Azure Functions.
  • Provide top-level technical guidance, encompassing complex software systems programming and analysis.
  • Design architectures that incorporate software, hardware, and communications, ensuring present technical specifications while guaranteeing adaptability for future requirements and interfaces.
  • Evaluate system compatibility and compliance with DoD architecture standards.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with the Enterprise Architecture team to develop the application architecture and roadmap.
  • Present solution designs to stakeholders for input, buy-in, and sign-off.
  • Oversee large-scale IT solution development and implementation, encompassing architecting, piloting, first-time implementation, documentation, and standardization for repeatable deployment.

Requirements:

  • A Secret security clearance is mandatory.
  • A current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree and at least 10 years of experience are necessary; an additional three years of relevant technical experience can substitute for the degree.
  • Two years of experience in automation platforms and designing scalable solutions are required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience designing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining custom applications for Government customers is necessary.
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python) is required.
  • Cloud native application development experience, including front and back-end services, is essential.
  • Experience working in cloud, Azure, and MS Office 365 support environments is crucial.
  • The ability to collaborate on configuration changes using a distributed revision control system (i.e., Git) is necessary.
  • Automation experience with PowerShell Modules and Power Platform is beneficial.
  • Agile/SCRUM software development management method experience is preferred.
