Sales Manager Job Description

Barnes Group is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet revenue targets and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Regional Sales Managers to achieve sales revenue and growth targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand customer base
  • Manage daily sales operations, including customer inquiries, order fulfillment, and technical support
  • Develop relationships with customers and distributors to drive awareness and education of our product portfolio
  • Track and hold team accountable for revenue-generating activities and benchmarks
  • Collaborate with broader sales and marketing team to identify gaps in sales coverage and onboard new channel partners
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business-to-business sales, technical sales, or a related support role in the industrial market
  • Minimum 2 years of experience educating others on product specifications and applications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing a CRM to manage sales-related activities
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing formal presentations or communications
  • Prior experience conducting or managing territory reviews required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling through distributors
  • Experience in technical sales
Education Requirements:

BS Degree in Engineering, Business, or related function preferred. Combination of education and years of experience acceptable.
