Apprentice Cake Decorator

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member - Cake Decorator Apprentice to join our team at Giant Eagle. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for learning and mastering the art of cake decorating and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Learn and master cake decorating techniques and product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and drive sales.
• Follow proper procedures to ensure store meets out-of-stock percentage goals and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Apply merchandising principles to generate sales and provide a WOW experience for our guests.
• Provide exemplary customer service by greeting customers and ensuring they can locate products.
• Become familiar with products to answer questions and make suggestions to customers.
• Properly handle products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines.
• Actively demonstrate suggestive selling techniques and prepare and decorate products for the bakery cases and displays.
• Accurately record special orders and maintain cleanliness of equipment, tables, utensils, floor, etc.
• Maintain department procedures, daily setups, order taking, and proper product rotation.
• Assist in other areas as required.
