- Management of communications and networks

- Application development and end-user device management
- Asset, patch, release, desktop, and server/storage management
Role Responsibilities
As an Automation/IT professional, you will play a crucial role in the direction, definition, design, development, integration, deployment, documentation, and operational consulting support of systems software and equipment utilized in control systems, manufacturing information systems, laboratory systems, and business systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in process control systems
- Leading and executing small-scale automation and control system projects
- Conducting preventative maintenance and identifying opportunities for control system enhancements
- Providing training to operational staff
- Assisting with integrated IT and automation services to ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Key Duties
- Exhibit self-directed learning and initiative across multiple projects and priorities.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of process automation systems and control applications.
- Collaborate effectively with management and team members to achieve project objectives.
- Deliver technical support and assistance to clients, ensuring their issues are resolved satisfactorily.
- Develop training materials and documentation in accordance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
- Provide ongoing performance support for automation and IT systems, including diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Resolve technical challenges related to automation networks and process control infrastructures.
- Lead the implementation of modifications to process control systems, ensuring adherence to change control protocols.
- Conduct system maintenance and preventative measures to minimize operational downtime.
- Validate new control applications and maintain systems in a compliant state.
- Identify and implement enhancements while following established standards.
- Support the assessment of user requirements and the development of automation strategies for projects.
Qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley)
- Proficiency in HMI development and programming
- Knowledge of automation communication protocols
- Expertise in automated valve management
- Ability to interpret electrical and process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
- Familiarity with Modbus protocol language
