Position Overview

Our organization, ThisWay, is seeking a Loan Processing Associate. The Loan Processing Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of loan and lease records within the financial institution's digital systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer servicing for a variety of loan types, including Commercial, Equipment Financing, Mortgage, and Consumer loans.
  • Enter and verify new and renewed loan documentation to meet established quality benchmarks.
  • Calculate interest, principal repayments, and loan payoffs accurately.
  • Facilitate loan payment processing, including remittances for participations.
  • Review various reports to confirm the accuracy of information.
  • Reconcile multiple general ledger accounts to ensure consistency.
  • Oversee the bank's lender-placed insurance policies.
  • Manage non-accrual and charge-off loan processes.
  • Handle incoming wire transfers efficiently.
  • Verify and rectify E-Oscar disputes as necessary.
  • Administer escrow accounts with precision.
  • Process loans that have been paid in full and release associated collateral.
  • Receive new consumer and mortgage notes along with their collateral.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to paid-in-full loans and collateral.
  • Conduct monthly reporting and remittance to various stakeholders.
  • Encourage and uphold the organization's sales culture and service principles.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree is preferred, or a combination of relevant banking experience and education.
  • A minimum of six to nine months of experience in banking or a related field is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Work Environment

  • The work environment is moderately noisy, typical of a business office with computers, phones, and printers.
  • Ability to work in a confined space and remain seated at a computer for extended periods is required.
  • Occasional bending or kneeling may be necessary.

  • Specific vision abilities are required due to the nature of computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be necessary.
