POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves the construction, assembly, installation, repair, and/or demolition of structures and fixtures across all properties managed by Bigos Management, Inc. The individual will execute various tasks as assigned, utilizing skills in carpentry, concrete work, plumbing, electrical systems, insulation, drywall installation, painting, welding, and/or operating heavy machinery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute assigned tasks in carpentry, concrete work, plumbing, electrical systems, insulation, drywall installation, painting, welding, and/or heavy machinery operation as directed by the Construction Supervisor, ensuring timely and professional completion.

• Communicate with the Manager regarding the status of tasks or projects, including equipment or supply needs, and any challenges that may affect task completion.

• Collaborate with fellow Construction Workers and the Supervisor to meet project deadlines and team objectives.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and actively promote a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: carpentry, concrete work, plumbing, electrical systems, insulation, drywall installation, painting, welding, and/or heavy machinery operation.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to engage with colleagues and the public in a courteous and diplomatic manner.

• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and time management abilities.

• Capable of managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

• Expertise in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, concrete work, plumbing, electrical systems, insulation, drywall installation, painting, welding, and/or heavy machinery operation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires working in a physically demanding environment, including frequent kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving throughout the day. Regular lifting of over 20 lbs. and frequent lifting of up to 80 lbs. with assistance is necessary. Candidates may encounter heights, ladders, uneven surfaces, stairs, confined spaces, and noise. Exposure to varying weather conditions, drafts, and temperature changes is expected. Regular handling of tools and supplies with sharp edges is required. Candidates must be able to navigate properties efficiently, including climbing stairs and traversing hallways and common areas.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Safety gloves, safety eyewear, ear protection.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-site at properties, including grounds, apartment units, and rooftops.
