PRIMARY FUNCTION:


Designs, executes, oversees, and assesses activities offered within a designated program area, including Education & Career Development, The Arts, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development, and Specialized Initiatives.


KEY ROLES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare Youth for Success

Create an environment that promotes the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:

What Kids Need to Succeed

Encourage and enhance program participation.
Recruit new participants and engage them in the orientation process.
Provide mentorship and guidance to members.
Develop and implement programs effectively.

  • Efficiently administer and execute programs, services, and activities for members as per program guidelines and expectations.
  • Monitor and assess programs, services, and activities to ensure member safety, program quality, and the Club's overall appearance. Prepare reports as required.
  • Foster a productive work atmosphere by engaging in weekly staff meetings.
  • Participate in special programs/events as needed.
  • May be required to operate the Club van.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:

Maintain close daily contact with Club staff (both professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisors to exchange information, discuss issues, clarify guidelines/instructions, and provide advice/counsel.


External:
Engage with external community organizations, schools, members' parents, and others to assist in problem resolution.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience working with children
Understanding of youth development principles
Ability to inspire youth and manage behavioral challenges effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with the public.
Capability to plan and execute quality programs for youth.
Ability to organize and supervise members in a secure environment.
Mandatory CPR and First Aid certifications.
Valid State Driver's License
Social Security Card and/or Citizenship Documents
