Job Title: Network Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Hamilton County Ohio. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the core network infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure connectivity for county agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain core network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, and access points.
  • Manage Microsoft and Unix/Linux based systems to provide needed services, including identity management, anti-virus, email spam filtering, and secure file transfer.
  • Ensure license and maintenance renewal contracts are kept current.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and assist with life cycle management of various hardware.
  • Alternate 24-hour on-call duties with another network engineer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronic technology, or related field.
  • Three years of professional experience and proficiency in maintaining computer and data communications equipment.
  • Comparable training and experience, and comprehensive system networking knowledge may be substituted for the degree.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state of residency.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and work on-call 24 hours/7 days a week.
