Key Responsibilities:

The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for:
  • Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to develop effective care plans.
  • Supervising and mentoring nursing staff to ensure high standards of care.
  • Functioning as an expert clinician, educator, and researcher, focusing on key clinical priorities.
  • Designing, implementing, and assessing educational programs aimed at continuous improvement in nursing practices.
  • Communicating effectively with interdisciplinary teams and medical professionals to promote evidence-based nursing models.
  • Staying updated on the latest nursing research trends and influencing staff to maximize their professional capabilities.
  • Motivating and guiding nursing staff in the adoption of new practices and adherence to organizational policies.
  • Coordinating in-service training and skill development workshops for nursing personnel.
  • Serving as a preceptor to support the professional growth of nursing staff.
  • Assisting Nursing Leaders in achieving strategic organizational goals by monitoring quality metrics and staff performance.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Master's Degree is preferred or in progress.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in NJ or a compact state.
  • A minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience is required.
Certification/Licensure:
  • National certification in a relevant specialty within one year of hire.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Exhibiting exemplary patient care and effective communication with staff.
