Job Title: Clinical Nurse Educator, ICN, Full Time, 6pm-4am

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Educator, ICN, Full Time, 6pm-4am will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs for new and current nursing staff members in the ICN department. This role will focus on quality of care and patient safety goals for mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement educational programs for new and current nursing staff members
  • Assist with onboarding, new-hire orientation, and preceptor program
  • Provide educational programs for utilizing advanced technology, techniques, and evidence-based best practices
  • Act as a mentor, leader, and resource to the department
  • Maintain clinical knowledge and skillset

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN required
  • Masters degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Education or relevant field preferred
  • 3 years of progressive experience in NICU clinical specialty required
  • 2 years of MB experience required

Certifications/Licensure:

  • RN current registration with NJ State Board of Nursing required
  • National Certification RNC - NIC required
  • BLS required
  • NRP required
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring recommended

Working Conditions:

This role will work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated team of nurses. The ideal candidate will have level 3 NICU experience and either previous nurse educator or preceptor experience.
