Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

U-Haul is seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and building new buildings. You will perform general maintenance, installation, repair, and service tasks, as well as participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University.

Responsibilities:

* Inspect and maintain buildings, including performing preventive maintenance inspections and semiannual roof inspections
* Perform general maintenance, installation, repair, and service tasks
* Effectively work with a variety of hand/power tools
* Pool knowledge with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to accomplish complex projects
* Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

* Experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing, or landscaping
* Valid driver's license
* D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
* Available 7 days a week/Weekend and Holidays

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
