Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Harrison Senior Living of Chester County. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality resident care on a designated unit, ensuring the completion of nurse aide duties, and collaborating with all disciplines to deliver exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain charge and direction of the floor, working closely with the Director of Resident Services to ensure quality resident care.
- Create nurse aide assignments as needed to meet resident needs and notify the Director of Resident Services of any changes or issues.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures.
- Keep the medicine cart locked at all times when out of view and update resident support plans daily as needed.
- Assess residents and follow through according to established policies and procedures.
- Assist with resident ADLs, meals, and fluid intake to ensure proper nutrition.
- Accompany physicians on resident visits as needed and transcribe physician orders in a timely manner.
- Observe nursing care and visit residents throughout the shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in receiving report from the off-going shift and giving report to the on-coming shift to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor care provided by Nurse Aides and complete resident incident/accident reports as needed.
- Collect samples from residents for testing as needed and communicate necessary information to families, residents, and staff.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available on the floor for all disciplines and participate in staff meetings to enhance communication.
- Participate in problem resolution regarding employees and other floor issues and maintain confidentiality.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, mandatory trainings, and continuing education programs.
- Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing and possess a current Practical Nurse license in good standing from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated management, communication, and observation skills with an interest in geriatrics.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word required.
