We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Marketing courses at Owens Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, developing course materials, and assessing student learning.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Instruction
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, discussions, and activities to promote student learning and understanding of marketing concepts.
- Use a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, and group projects, to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student learning through quizzes, exams, assignments, and projects, and provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Course Development and Management
- Develop and maintain course syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with the college's curriculum and accreditation standards.
- Use the college's learning management system to deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments, and to communicate with students.
- Manage course schedules, room assignments, and other logistical details.
- Student Support and Advising
- Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection, career goals, and academic progress.
- Respond to student inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Professional Development and Service
- Participate in professional development opportunities, including workshops, conferences, and training sessions, to enhance teaching skills and stay current in the field of marketing.
- Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives, such as curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
- Experience
- Three to five years of professional experience in marketing or a related field.
- One year of teaching experience preferred.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
This is a part-time, adjunct faculty position. The successful candidate will be required to teach on a semester-by-semester basis, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and departmental needs.
