Forest and Watershed Health Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Forest and Watershed Health Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for developing, administering, and advancing the goals of forest and watershed health in New Mexico, including the Rio Grande Water Fund (RGWF).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement conservation strategies to promote forest and watershed health and resilience in the context of broad-scale climate change.
- Manage programs, plans, methods, and partnerships across a large-scale geographic area and as part of larger landscape initiatives.
- Work closely with Freshwater, Lands, Indigenous Right Relations, and Science programs to ensure project integration and the achievement of outcomes providing multiple benefits.
- Provide technical leadership and support to the New Mexico business unit (NMBU) by creating and engaging in a broad array of strategies directed towards maintaining and improving forest and watershed health.
- BA/BS, law, or business degree and 5 years' experience in natural resource management, fire ecology, forestry, conservation biology, or a related field.
- Experience in the design and implementation of forest and watershed restoration projects and familiarity with specific techniques to promote watershed health and resilience.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements and managing project budgets and timelines.
- Excellent communication skills via written, spoken, and graphical means in English and other relevant languages.
