POSITION SUMMARY
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) serves as the primary representative and advocate for SOUTH PENINSULA HAVEN HOUSE, INC. across various platforms and communities.

The CEO is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.

This role involves overseeing daily operations that promote trauma-informed care and prevention strategies addressing domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

The CEO ensures that operations comply with applicable laws, grant requirements, and organizational policies.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic and Operational Leadership
In collaboration with the Board of Directors, the CEO formulates and proposes long-term strategies that enable the organization to achieve its mission.

Translates strategic plans into actionable operational steps with clear metrics for success, accountability, and transparency.

Operations and Program Management
Oversees the daily functioning of the organization, ensuring all operations align with the mission of SOUTH PENINSULA HAVEN HOUSE, INC.

Provides effective management of strategic and operational initiatives that engage the Board, staff, and volunteers, focusing on achieving organizational goals.

Collaborates with other non-profit, for-profit, and governmental entities to enhance strategies that address the needs of violence victims.

In partnership with the Board, develops and coordinates organizational policies.

Supervises the upkeep and safety compliance of organizational facilities.

Establishes trauma-informed systems and processes to optimize service delivery and prevention efforts.

Ensures the efficient operation of any social enterprises established by the organization.

Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

People Management
Empowers and supports leaders and staff to cultivate high-performing teams.

Provides guidance and direction to ensure a positive and safe workplace culture.

Ensures compliance with legal requirements in personnel policies and their consistent application.

Identifies staffing needs and facilitates professional development opportunities for employees.

Oversees hiring and performance management of direct reports; reviews evaluations conducted by other supervisors.

Maintains up-to-date job descriptions and organizational charts in line with human resource management standards.

Collaborates with the leadership team to make informed decisions that impact staff and client welfare.

Acts as a liaison between staff and the Board.

Facilitates effective communication throughout the organization.

Fiscal Management
Ensures responsible financial management across all organizational aspects, including compliance with state, federal, IRS, and funding protocols.

Implements accounting policies and procedures to uphold financial integrity.

Develops the annual budget for Board approval and manages operations within the approved budget.

Regularly reports on the financial health of the organization, addressing any anticipated challenges and solutions.

Fund and Donor Development
Participates in the Board's fundraising initiatives.

Secures sustainable funding sources to support the mission and strategic objectives of SOUTH PENINSULA HAVEN HOUSE, INC.
